Katie Ness is a UK based Artist, Arabic Dancer, Children’s YogaDance Teacher & Writer.

Her skills include: Drawing / painting / art direction / curating /teaching yoga & dance to kids/ art & dance as therapy /creativity for mental health/performance / room installation/ video editing / workshops /assistant prop & costume designer/ stage management.

Like a sunflower Katie’s art is vibrant and “crooked” residing in a dark, earthy & mystical centre. Her art is rooted in the belief that there is a place of wonderment, strange beauty, and purity within each of us.

Katie holds an Honors Fine Art Degree, Distinctions in art & dance therapy diplomas and is a qualified Children’s YogaDance teacher. She is available to facilitate therapeutic art & movement workshops to adults and children including Activity Leading for young adults and senior citizens.

She is currently saving for TeenYoga teacher training and a 200hour yoga teacher training with Samma Karuna.

Katie is very passionate about combining creative expression and body movement, with psychological healing.

Her primary focus is community arts, therapeutic creativity in mental health care and holistic, creative learning; her projects are both client-based and self-initiated.
She is available for arts events, festivals, running expressive art or dance movement workshops in arts centres and schools as well as curating and exhibiting in Galleries and Museums.

Katie has been a tribal dancer for over fifteen years and has lived and performed in Cyprus, Bulgaria & Morocco alongside a number of venues in the UK, she is also a freelance writer for YogiApproved.com,

Elephant Journal and Bad Yogi.

She is currently working on an illustrated poetry book.
